Chris Sale And The Red Sox Offense Power On To 70 Wins, Beat Tabbys, 9-1

Your 2018 Carmine Hose are the first team in Major League Baseball to compile 70 wins. They achieved that today with a combination of power starting pitching and timely offense on the way to a dominant 9-1 win over the hapless Tabbys. Chris Sale got his 11th win of the year—going six strong innings, striking out nine, walking none and yielding no runs on just two hits. Jackie Bradley, Jr. led the way on offense—going 2-4 with a HR and three RBIs. Andrew Benintendi knocked in two with a seventh-inning triple, while Eduardo Nunez  chipped in two RBIs as well. Mookie Betts extended his on-base streak to 29 games with a seventh-inning single, and J.D. Martinez got his 81st RBI on a sacrifice fly. The Red Sox now lead the major leagues with 540 runs scored. The team now moves on to Charm City for a three-game set with the Baltimore Orioles.
