Furthering our contention that Red Sox ownership
needs to sign
Mookie Betts long-term is
the designation by Sports Illustrated of the Boston right-fielder as
the sixth-best player in all of baseball. Betts is the
only Red Sox player to make the
Top Ten—in fact, the next Boston player is
Chris Sale, who comes in at #20 overall. The only other
Carmine Hosers to appear in
SI's Top 100 ranking are:
Craig Kimbrel (#63),
Jackie Bradley, Jr. (#74) and
David Price (#94). If
Dave Dombrowski gets off his keister and signs
J.D. Martinez—that would give us the #61 player as well. Do it, 'Double D'!
