ESPN PowerRank: Sinking Red Sox Fall Out Of Top Ten

After a 3-3 road trip, the Red Sox have fallen out of the Top Ten in ESPN's Power Ranking. Now in 12th position, Boston continues to hover just above the .500 mark—with a roster and payroll that was supposed to dominate and secure a spot in the World Series. They return home tonight with a starting rotation that has (at best) three reliable starters. They have a weak bench. They have a poor defense. And, they can't hit home runs. Not a good formula for landing in The Fall Classic. You can see all of the ESPN rankings (including the #1 spot held by the Houston Astros) HERE.
