Red Sox Face Elimination After A 6-0 Loss In Game Two

(AP Photo)
On Friday, David Price made it back-to-back lousy "ace" starts in a dismal 6-0 whitewashing in ALDS Game Two. Price lasted just 3.1 innings—giving up five earned runs. Pathetic! Now, the Red Sox need to sweep the next three series games to survive. It now appears that the vaunted 11-game winning streak in September may have been the illusion of 2016—not the norm. And, the shaky pitching we saw throughout the year (with the exception of Rick Porcello) may be the sad but true reality. Also, the 'historic' Boston offense can clearly go cold for long stretches (three hits yesterday)—as it did during the season—leaving little substance on The Carmine Hose. On top of everything, the team seems lethargic—over-anxiously flailing at bad pitches and making dumb mental mistakes in the field. Maybe this is who they really are. It's a hard thing to accept, but it might just be the truth.
