'Shaw-Show' Redemption: Red Sox Hang On For 3-2 Win

With all that has transpired on this heinous road trip, your 2016 Carmine Hose are 4-4 so far and just two games out of first place in the AL East. Last night, they gained a split with the Mariners with an 11-inning, 3-2 win. Travis Shaw got the scoring started with a solo HR and then ignited the rally in the 11th with a hit—scoring the winning run on Brock Holt's single up the middle. Mookie Betts drove in the other Sox run with a double in the fifth, scoring Bryce Brentz. And, while he did not get the win, Boston starter Drew Pomeranz pitched well—going six innings and giving up just two runs. He did, however, walk six batters. The Red Sox move on down the coast to face the Dodgers starting tonight—with a possibility of Hanley Ramirez returning to the lineup after his "slip" in the dugout.
