Could "New" Rusney Castillo Provide Real Trade Bait?

Most of us have pretty much put 29-year old Cuban OF Rusney Castillo out of our minds—and, frankly, with good reason. But the truth is, he's still in the Red Sox organization and is showing some signs of improvement. Down at AAA Pawtucket, he's hitting only .247 through 75 games—but he's second on the team in runs scored (39), third in hits (71) and doubles (17), fourth in stolen bases (7), and seventh in RBIs (22). Not great, but a tad better than his weak MLB performances. Last night, Castillo went 3-5 with a double and a run scored. So, this raises the question of whether Castillo—considered a semi-blue-chipper not long ago—could generate some non-waiver and/or off-season trade interest. Trade "packages" don't always have to include top-tier prospects—and Rusney might still have some luster based on the king's ransom Boston paid to sign him (7 yrs/$72.5M).
