Red Sox Probably Only On The Cusp Of The Playoffs

Your 2016 Carmine Hose have 75 games left in their season—56% of them on the road. And not just any road. There's an upcoming ten-game West Coast trip that takes them from Anaheim up to Seattle and back down to Los Angeles to play the Dodgers. Then in September there's another West Coast trip—this one 'just' six games in Oakland and San Diego. But, right after that, they fly out of the country to Toronto for a three-game set. Oh, did we mention that they finish up the season with 10 of their last 13 games on the road in the AL East? By any measure, this is a tough schedule. If they just maintain their current winning pace, they would get 91 wins. That's probably good enough to make the post-season tourney—but just barely. All of this heightens the need to go out and get one or two legitimate starters to help insure a Red (Sox) October.
