Red Sox Open Second Half At Concrete Bunker In Bronx

Fresh from trading for a left-handed starter, signing their top draft pick and promoting Eduardo Rodriguez, the Red Sox are set to open the second half of the season against The Evil Ones in the Bronx. In a flurry of activity over the All-Star Break, The Carmine Hose have probably set themselves up well for both the short and long term. Of course, top pitching prospect Anderson Espinoza could undergo a 'Rizzo-Fication' and make Dave Dombrowski look bad down the road. But, the rotation desperately needed an upgrade to contend now. Tonight, Boston will pin its hopes on the pitching star of the first half—knuckleballer Steven Wright (10-5, 2.68). He will be opposed by Michael "What Pine Tar?" Pineda (3-8, 5.38). This should be an interesting and important series—as The Bronx Embalmers sit just 5.5 games back of Boston. Bring it on!
