In the endless string of wacky promotions from the NOG (New Ownership Group), this one is
really "out there." On Friday August 12th,
William Shatner (AKA Captain James Tiberius Kirk) will throw out the first pitch before that night's game at Fenway.
Really? Well, the
Boston Comic Con is in town, so we guess it makes some sense. But wait, fans will also get a "limited edition" Kirk figurine. Yikes! We wonder if Kirk will use the famous Vulcan split finger fastball 'greeting grip' used by his buddy
Spock, Son Of Sarek. Stop us before we sub-reference again!
