Red Sox Admit The Obvious: Koji Likely Gone For Year

As soon as it happened, we knew disaster was looming—and we said so right here. Basically, we stated that the injury "could be long and nasty—especially when happening to an over-worked 40-year old" (not to mentioned the ineptitude of the team's medical staff). Now, even the Red Sox have to acknowledge that Koji Uehara is likely done for the season. The pectoral muscle injury that happened on July 19th wasn't just a minor tweak, it's probably a tear and might even end his career. Said manager John Farrell last night, "At this point, that’s an unknown, his return date." Uh-huh.
