As we suspected when witnessing the injury live last night,
Koji Uehara is headed to the 15-day disabled list with a right pectoral strain. As we stated earlier, this absence could be long and nasty—especially when happening to an over-worked 40-year old. In the short term, it's likely that
Brad Ziegler will take over closing duties. Also, the imminent return of both
Junichi Tazawa and
Joe Kelly will help things until both Uehara and
Craig Kimbrel can get back (if at all).
