The Red Sox placed
Blake Swihart (sprained ankle) and
Ryan Hanigan (sore neck) on the 15-day disabled list before Sunday's game.
Rusney Castillo and
Heath Hembree were placed on the active roster to take their places. In addition, Boston recalled
Sandy Leon to be the back-up catcher and optioned
Noe Ramirez back to AAA.
