Kansas City "Royalty" Ascends To The Top Of MLB

They have no real superstars, no real Cy Young-level starters, and no real home run threats. What the 2015 World Series Champion Kansas City Royals do have is an aggressive, 'put-the-ball-in-play' offense; an opportunistic base-running style; a world-class defense and one of the best top-to-bottom bullpens in years. So, the trend toward a stud rotation, patient at-bats and three-run HRs is suddenly out of style in the notoriously 'copycat' world of baseball. Look for teams—including the Red Sox—to re-think strategies like taking every first pitch and building a bullpen just around the 8th and 9th innings. Fasten your seat-belts—you might see Dave Dombrowski re-shape this team more than you'd like over the next few months. Anyway, congratulations to the new World Champs!
