In what is clearly the best news of the year, the Red Sox announced that Manager
John Farrell's stage 1 Non-Hodgkin's Burkitt lymphoma is in remission. The Boston skipper underwent testing at Massachusetts General Hospital and was given the good news yesterday. Farrell stated, "
I am extremely thankful for the outpouring of support I have received from the Red Sox, my family, friends, and fans throughout this process." Said Red Sox President of Baseball Operations
Dave Dombrowski,
"We all admire him for his strength and courage, and look forward to having him back as our manager." Indeed!
