A Canadian Miracle: Sox Score 5 In 9th, Beat Jays, 7-6

It was all but lost. After battling the first-place Blue Jays to a 2-2 tie, Boston relievers coughed up two runs in the eighth. Game, set, match—usually. If this had been a year of contention, today's win could have been a turning point. As it is, it's just a thrilling pre-cursor of what might come in 2016. David Ortiz singled in the go-ahead run in a 5-run ninth—after Jackie Bradley, Jr. tied the game with a two-run HR. Xander Bogaerts also homered in the win. The Red Sox needed every run in the 9th—as Jose Bautista powered a 2-run HR in the home half of the ninth in the eventual 7-6 win. All In all, a truly miraculous win north of the border.
