Remembering Jason Bay's Many Red Sox Contributions

Bay In The Monster
Jason Bay turns 37 today. He hasn't played in the major leagues since 2013. His last at-bat as a Carmine Hoser was back in 2009. After he left Boston, he was never as good as he was with the Red Sox. In just 200 games over a season and a half, Bay ht .274 with 45 HRs and 156 RBIs. He was an immediate fan favorite when he arrived as the Manny Ramirez replacement in mid-2008. There are still fans who wear his #44 jersey around Fenway. Hey, why not? The mild-mannered 6'2" left-fielder from Trail, British Columbia (of course he's mild-manner, he's Canadian!) was a credit to the uniform in his brief stay here. Happy birthday, Jason!
