Porcello Reverts Back To Old Form, Red Sox Lose, 6-1

(The Canadian Press via AP)
SkyDome (never to be referred to as RogersCentre) has always been a House Of Horrors for Rick Porcello. Before last night, his career ERA there was 7.36. In six innings on Friday, he gave up six runs (five earned runs) on eight hits. Boston could only manage a lone run—which scored on a controversial infield hit in the 6-1 loss. Not exactly Murders' Row. Mookie Betts did get two more hits—raising his average to .290. He also now has 36 doubles on the year. Well, at least The Evil Ones lost as well—pushing the Blue Jay lead in the AL East to 4.5 games. Your Carmine Hose are the only team in the AL East that has yet to get to 70 wins. With sixteen games left, they are on pace for just 77 wins.
