Bullpen Lets Down Red Sox Again, Lose To Mets, 5-4

In a recurring 2015 theme, the Red Sox bullpen gave away another win—yielding a tie-breaking run in the seventh inning in a 5-4 loss at Flushing Meadows. Jackie Bradley, Jr. (RBI double) and Mookie Betts (RBI triple) had tied the score at four—before the 'pen let the game slip away. David Ortiz clouted his 494th career HR—allowing him to pass Lou Gehrig and Fred McGriff on the all-time list. Quick-working lefty Wade Miley pitched sort of OK again—going six innings and giving up four earned runs. The loss robbed the Sox of their first road sweep of the season. Boston returns home for a three-game "spoiler set" against The Bronx Embalmers.
