Red Sox Looking To Put A 'Dent' In Evil Empire's Plans

The Red Sox will host The Bronx Embalmers for a three-game set starting tonight. As The Evil Ones sit 1.5 games out of first, Boston has a great opportunity to bury them even deeper into the AL East standings. While recently putting up football-style offensive numbers, The Pinstriped Posers have been on a fairly long downward slide—relinquishing what seemed like a comfortable first-place lead just a few weeks ago. The Rangers and Twins (both red hot lately) are even challenging them for the two AL Wild Card spots. Of course, there would be nothing sweeter than a three-game sweep putting the Yankees closer than ever to 2015 playoff banishment. The Carmine Hose will send Eduardo Rodriguez to the hill tonight, followed by Rick Porcello on Tuesday and Henry Owens on Wednesday.
