According to multiple reports,
several teams have shown interest in acquiring Daniel Nava from the Red Sox. Chief among the suitors are the Detroit Tigers (who could use a right-handed bat to augment
Torii Hunter) and the Kansas City Royals (who could use someone a tad younger than
Raul Ibanez). Also reportedly in the mix are the Cleveland Indians—who might want to simply block his movement to a division rival. Of course,
Terry Francona has fond memories of Nava as well. Stay tuned, these waiver deals can go down quickly.
