Tanaka In US To Meet Up To A Dozen Teams

Masahiro Tanaka
Now the field of potential Masahiro Tanaka suitors is reported to be a dozen—or more. The newest Japanese player to emerge onto the MLB scene is in the United States right now and meeting with at least twelve teams. Reportedly ensconced somewhere in the Los Angeles area, the 25-year old has already met with some teams. Representatives of the Dodgers, Angels, Mariners, Twins, Rangers, Cubs, White Sox, Yankees and Diamondbacks are well-known to have a serious interest in Tanaka—but other 'wild card' teams like the Blue Jays (or even the Red Sox) might still be in the mix (no matter what Ben Cherington says).
