Tribe To Dice-K: 'Get Thee To Minor Leagues!'

Familiar Pose
The Great Dice-K Experiment: Part Deux may be over. The Indians today announced that Daisuke Matsuzaka would not be on Cleveland's Opening Day roster. The team said it "hoped" the Japanese right-hander would accept an assignment to AAA. If Dice-K agrees, he would get a $100,000 bonus and could exercise an opt-out clause if he isn't in The Mistake By The Lake by June 1st. Apparently, the rotation spot that Matsuzaka was slated for was swiped by another unlikely hurler—Scott Kazmir.
