While the Red Sox have poo-pooed the idea of the team dealing surplus relief pitching to Texas, more reports say that
Boston scouts are still hovering around the Rangers Spring Training Complex. As we reported
last Friday, the Red Sox were snooping around at Ranger prospects. Hopefully, BenCher will consummate a spring deal with either the Rangers (who need our excess relief pitching) or the Angles (who need our excess catching) or
both.
