If it's Thursday, it must be Jhonny Peralta. The Detroit Tigers shortstop was named today as the latest on a list from the banned "anti-aging" clinic Biogenesis. According to SI.com, Peralta becomes the 12th baseball player to pop up on the lists of Tony Bosch, the head of the notorious—and now shuttered— wellness clinic in Coral Gables, Florida. The following statement was released on behalf of Peralta: "I have never used performance enhancing drugs. Period. Anybody who says otherwise is lying." Peralta's name did not appear next to any specific PED information on the list. The Dominican-born Peralta is a .264 lifetime hitter over 10 MLB seasons.
