Clay Buchholz delivered his fourth straight solid outing, yielding just one earned run over seven, as the
Red Sox beat Miami, 2-1. Striking out nine Marlins, Buchholz was once again, smooth and confident as he garnered his seventh win of the year. The righty is 4-1 with a 2.83 ERA over his last seven starts. After Jose Reyes led off the first inning with a triple for the second straight day, Boston's emerging ace struck out the side to quell the threat. Kelly Shoppach doubled home the first run, followed by a RBI single by Mike Aviles in the Red Sox seventh. Padilla and Aceves closed the game out for the victory.
