Red Sox Sign Mark Prior To Minor Deal

Perennially-injured starter Mark Prior (who hasn't pitched in the majors since 2006) has been signed to a minor league deal by the Red Sox.

This a real head-scratcher—although he can't have cost the team too much of their precious spare soccer cash. Why Prior makes sense and Aaron Cook does not, doesn't make any sense to us.
