Eduardo Nunez Has Stellar Relief Outing In Rout By Diamondbacks, 15-8

Well, it wasn't exactly a stellar outing by Eduardo Nunez—but he only gave up one run in one inning of work. Compare that to starter Rick "Not-So-Pretty" Porcello, who coughed up seven runs in 4.2 innings—his second straight crappy start of 2019. The Red Sox were embarrassed again on this Road Trip From Hell with a 15-8 pounding by the star-free Arizona Diamondbacks. Once again, Boston got on top early (1-0), but the starter could not hold the lead. All told, Red Sox starters have gone 40.1 innings in the first nine games—giving up 43 earned runs. Absolutely unacceptable. Boston mounted a late "rally" as both Mookie Betts and Mitch Moreland homered. But, frankly, nobody cared, as this lifeless team continues to lose badly.
