Boston's 165th Game Of The Year Is, By Far, The Biggest To Date

Tonight, the Red Sox engage The Bronx Embalmers in what is likely to be the biggest game of the season. If Boston loses, and falls behind in the ALDS two-games-to-one, Tuesday's game at The Concrete Bunker On 161st Street could be their last of 2018. Manager Alex Cora is entrusting tonight's contest to Nathan Eovaldi—given his overpowering stuff and (most importantly) his success against The Pinstriped Posers. The original starter, Rick Porcello, is being held back for Game Four tomorrow night. Obviously, any Game Five back in Boston on Thursday would go to Chris Sale. Not to get too far ahead of ourselves, but the weather on Thursday looks abysmal—with heavy rain all day and night (including some after-effects from Hurricane Michael). So, if we reach that point, the actual fifth game will likely happen on Friday—giving Sale an extra day of rest. Of course, the Red Sox could sweep the two-game set in Baghdad-By-The-Hudson and advance to the ALCS with time to spare. Stay tuned!
