We all knew that the Red Sox would be facing-off against
The Evil Empire in London in late June of next year, but
now we have the full 2019 schedule to peruse. Boston will open up on the road for their first
eleven contests of the year—starting with four games in Seattle (March 28-31), four in Oakland and three in Arizona. Their first game at Fenway will be
their twelfth of the year on April 9th against the Blue Jays. On June 29th and 30th, they will play a two-game set at London Stadium, the home of the 2012 Olympic Games. Oddly, the contests will be considered "home" games for the Red Sox—so only 79 regular-season games will be at Fenway Park. The Red Sox will have two days off before the London games, and will also have off July 1st—the day
after the series finishes up. The schedule also features home inter-league games against the Colorado Rockies (May 14-15), Los Angeles Dodgers (July 12-14), Philadelphia Phillies (August 20-21) and San Francisco Giants (September 17-19). The first visit to Fenway by
The Bronx Embalmers won't be until late July (25-28). The Red Sox will end the season at home against the Baltimore Orioles. You can view the complete 2019 Red Sox schedule by clicking
