NESN TV Ratings For Red Sox Games Up 40 Percent Over Same 2017 Period

Despite absolutely awful coverage of Red Sox games by NESN (with the exception of Jerry Remy and Guerin Austin), the network's baseball game ratings are up 40% over the same period last year (first nine telecast games). Clearly, the blazing 8-1 start by The Carmine Hose is the main (if not only) reason for the boost—since NESN still features a 1950s technology, look and feel in their broadcasts. What other major-market regional sports network still does not have a SuperSloMo replay capability? And how pathetic was it when they were touting their archaic and sloppy "multi-view" camera shots in Spring Training? John Henry's sad little broadcast plaything remains third-rate—no matter what the current ratings say.
