Lawsuit Alleges Top Agency Had PED Connections

One of the biggest player representation agencies in baseball has been named in a lawsuit alleging involvement with performance-enhancing drugs. According to FanRagSports.com's Jon Heyman, the suit alleges that the ACES agency was not only aware of PED use among players they represented, but directed some of them to suppliers of PEDs. The two most notable ACES clients that have been connected to alleged PED use are Melky Cabrera and Nelson Cruz. Other prominent players that are also represented by ACES include Dustin Pedroia and Jon Lester. Neither of these players have ever been associated in any way with PED use. However, given this high-profile, $2+ million suit now before the New York State Supreme Court, it will be interesting to see if Pedroia and Lester cut their ties with the agency.
