Each year, a few Red Sox players usually show up
extra early in Fort Myers, Florida for Spring Training. Typically, they are either work-a-holic veterans or non-roster invitees—looking to get an extra edge. Today, however, a very unusual visitor showed up at Fenway South—
an alligator. That's right, a
gator—and it wasn't
Mike Greenwell. When hearing about the visit, Red Sox center-fielder
Jackie Bradley, Jr. intoned,
"All I have to say is he better clean up those balls after he is done." Indeed!
