The Carmine Hose would go on to win the series in six games at Fenway Park. Now,
the Arizona Diamondbacks have hired Gomes as their rookie-level hitting coach. If he can impart his enthusiasm, guile and pure clutch to his young hitting pupils in Arizona, this will be the bargain of the century for the Diamondbacks. We wish the best of luck to Jonny in his new role.
