glimpse into the mindset of the team during this weirdly moribund period. Basically, Cora stated what we all hoped was the case—that
the team is still in the hunt for offensive help. Said Cora,
"Right now we are in the process [of looking for players]...It looks like January will be the new December in terms of [signings]...Offensively speaking, this team did not hit many homers." No kidding.
