Jason Varitek is the leading choice among readers as new Red Sox manager. As the chart shows, almost four in ten choose Tek (39%) followed by
Alex Cora at 28%,
Brad Ausmus at 13% and
Gary Discarcina at 8%. Fully 11% choose someone
else other than those listed—with most of those specific mentions centering on
