Top Five Reasons To Like The Rajai Davis Acquisition

After due consideration, the Editorial Board of FenwayNation has selected the following as the Top Five Reasons To Like The Rajai Davis Acquisition by the Red Sox (in no particular order):

1.) He's a Connecticut native—This allows us to potentially pick up a few more Nutmeg State Red Sox fans—and (more importantly) further diminish that state's pool of Yankee fans;
2.) He's wicked fast—He's already got 26 steals in 2017—giving manager John Farrell a Dave Roberts-like weapon off the bench (particularly in the post-season);
3.) He can get his 400th steal in a Boston uniform—Sitting at 391 career steals, Davis can reach the 400-base milestone in Carmine Hose;
4.) He can rattle the Indians in the ALDS with HR power—Given his World Series Game 7 dinger off Aroldis Chapman (for the Tribe), they will quake during his every at-bat;
5.) He has a cool first name—This fact dramatically upgrades the Cool First Name Quotient on the team (when added to "Mookie").

There you have it!
