David Price Gets Hammered In Bronx, Red Sox Fall, 9-1

Well, so much for blowing off some steam. David Price—who one day earlier lambasted the Red Sox "beat" media—was creamed by The Pinstriped Posers last night in a 9-1 shellacking. Price coughed up two HRs and six earned runs overall in just five innings. His ERA ballooned to 5.29. In the locker room after the game, his tone was more subdued than on Wednesday, "This is baseball. Stuff happens. It happens to the best of the best. It happened to me tonight." Best of the best? OK, we'll let that comment pass. Anyway, Boston's offense was again dormant—collecting just four hits on the night. The Carmine Hose limp home 250 miles north to take on the Tigers tonight.
