Drew Goes Yard In 2013 WS |
Former Red Sox infielder
Stephen Drew has re-upped with the Washington Nationals on a one-year, $3.5 million deal. The contract also offers an additional $1.2 million in "performance-based incentives". Drew performed pretty well for the Nats in 2016—filling in around the infield. In two seasons with the Red Sox (163 total games), Drew hit a dismal .236 with just 17 HRs. He did get a ring as a member of
The Carmine Hose, playing 124 games at SS for the 2013 World Series Champions. In that year's
Fall Classic, Drew hit just .158—but clouted a HR off
Michael Wacha in the clinching Game Six at Fenway Park.
