the Red Sox had asked for 24-year-old Marlins pitching prospect Luis Castillo in a potential trade for Clay Buchholz. Despite the deal falling through, both sides are open to "revisiting" the trade. Castillo—a Top Five Marlins prospect—has already been traded multiple times (originally drafted by the San Francisco Giants) and has progressed slowly through the minors. He would likely project as a reliever in the major leagues.
