POLL: Majority Support Sox Plan For Designated Hitter
A solid majority of readers support the Red Sox plan to not have a full-time designated hitter in 2017. As the chart shows, 57% agree with the plan, while a not-insubstantial 43% remain opposed to the idea of multiple players filling the DH role. For decades, David Ortiz was the consistent face of the Boston DH slot, and, with his retirement, a different approach appears to be in the offing. You can still vote in the poll HERE.
