POLL: Jays And Rangers Viewed As Biggest Threat

Very early voting in our latest FenwayNation Poll shows that most readers see Toronto and Texas as the major post-season threat to the 2016 Carmine Hose. As the chart shows, 31% choose the Blue Jays as the chief roadblock for Boston, followed by the Texas Rangers at 26%. The Bronx Embalmers (13%) are considered the third biggest problem for John Farrell and the boys, while Tito Francona's Cleveland Indians are viewed as the fourth-most severe threat—coming in at 11%. Tonight's opponent—the Baltimore Orioles—are seen as a big problem in the post-season by just 7% of our readers. The 2015 World Series Champion Kansas City Royals are not seen as much of an issue by readers—with only 6% choosing them. The Detroit Tigers—who Boston famously beat on their last romp to a title in 2013—garner only 4% of responses. The Mariners only pull 2% and nobody seems fearful of the Houston Astros.
