Evil Ones Infest Fenway One Final Time In 2016 Season

Pretty much everyone (including us) had left The Bronx Embalmers for dead a few week ago. They unloaded every veteran who had a smidgen of talent (and some that didn't) on their way to a long-term re-build. 'Fuggedabout 2016' the organization seemed to be saying, we'll be back at some point down the road. Well, that road is here and now—and it's called Yawkey Way. The Pinstriped Posers are just four games back of the Red Sox—with seven more match-ups to come (four here and three at The Concrete Bunker On 161st Street). In tonight's Fenway opener, the very tough Masahiro Tanaka (13-4, 3.04 ERA) will face off against the "OK", but not-so-tough Eduardo Rodriguez (2-7, 4.70 ERA). If Boston loses tonight, the series could take on a pre-2004 aura of cascading doom. Well, we wanted meaningful games in mid-September. We got 'em!
