Brock Holt Is Red Sox Nominee For MLB Clemente Award

Holt At A Jimmy Fund Clinic
Brock Holt has been named as the Red Sox nominee for the 2016 Roberto Clemente Award. Major League Baseball presents the award annually to "a player who best represents the game through extraordinary character, community involvement, philanthropy and positive contributions, both on and off the field." Holt has been deeply involved with the Jimmy Fund since he joined the Red Sox in a 2012 trade with the Pirates (along with Joel Hanrahan) in exchange for Ivan De Jesus, Mark Melancon, Stolmy Pimentel and Jerry Sands. Starting this Wednesday (Roberto Clemente Day), fans can cast their votes by posting any nominee's voting hashtags to Twitter and MLB and club Facebook pages. Holt's hashtag is: #VoteBrock.
