Jeremy Hellickson |
Multiple reports now indicate that the Red Sox are "scouting" Phillies starting pitcher
Jeremy Hellickson with the interest of trading for him. The former Tampa Bay Ray is 6-6 this season with a 3.92 ERA over 18 starts. The 29-year old right-hander was once a fixture in the Tampa rotation—and had double-digit win seasons in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Over his seven-year career, Hellickson is 55-54 with a 3.94 ERA. He's averaged about seven strikeouts and three walks per nine innings pitched. He would be an 'OK' addition to the Boston rotation—but by no means an elite one.
