Bookies Think Papi Will Set New Final Season HR Mark

You gotta love the bookies—sort of. According to SportsBettingDime.com, the odds that David Ortiz breaks Dave Kingman's record of 35 HRs in a final season are 1/3. Basically, they're saying there's a darned good chance Papi sets a new mark. Unfortunately, they also believe the odds of Alex "The Centaur" Rodriguez reaching 700 HRs are 1/4. However, it looks like Ted Williams' .406 mark is safe—as the odds of Daniel Murphy batting .400 this year are 200/1. Phew!
