Finally, the long divisional nightmare is over: the mighty Orioles have been defeated! The Carmine Hose finally figured out a formula to beat the Birds of Baltimore—just get Ubaldo Jimenez on the mound. The 32-year old Dominican righty went five shaky innings—giving up four runs on six hits and four walks. While Joe Kelly could not stop Chris Davis from hitting his daily 2-run HR, the right-hander battled through five uneven innings—just giving up those two runs. The offensive stars in the 4-2 win were were Xander Bogaerts (2-4, 2 RBIs) and Jackie Bradley, Jr. (1-3, RBI triple). Mookie Betts also continued his hot streak at the plate—going 2-4 with an RBI. Five members of the bullpen shut down the O's from the sixth inning on—with Craig Kimbrel rebounding to get his second save of the year.
