Pablo Sandoval traveled down to lovely Alabama yesterday (the state comedian
Dennis Miller once called "Darwin's Waiting Room")
to get his sore shoulder examined by the renowned
Dr. James Andrews. Unfortunately, the Panda's shoulder was
so sore that the good doctor couldn't even give it a proper once-over. Now, the team says, it will be a "couple" of weeks before the shoulder will calm down enough for him to make a return trip to Dixie.
A couple of weeks. So, get used to a
Heapin' Helpin' of
Travis Shaw at third base for even longer than we all expected. As to when the Panda might start rehabbing, Manager
John Farrell said,
"That’s our medical staff (sic). I don’t have any updated plan, what will take place between now and his next exam." Great.
