Red Sox Lost Two Of Winter's Top Ten Traded Prospects

Kimbrel (L); Margot (C); Guerra (R)
According Baseball America, two of the top ten prospects traded away this off-season came from the Red Sox organization. Both of the prospects (ranked #4 and #6) were sent to San Diego in exchange for new closer Craig Kimbrel. Interestingly, it is shortstop Javier Guerra who got the higher ranking—touted as an "excellent defender" with "some offensive potential". At #6 is Manuel Margot—who is seen as giving the Padres an "everyday true center fielder" for years to come. Of course, only time will tell if Dave Dombrowski gave up too much talent for just three years' worth of Kimbrel. Apparently, Baseball America thinks he did.
