Shelby Miller Goes From Braves To Diamondbacks

Cross one young, controllable starting pitcher of your holiday list. Shelby Miller was traded by the Braves to the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for three players—including highly-regarded prospect Dansby Swanson (the rough equivalent of Yoan Moncada.) The 21-year old Swanson (out of Vanderbilt) was the number one overall pick in the 2015 MLB Draft. Probably too much to pay for Miller, but the transaction still has a chance to be a winner for both teams. In any event, Miller won't be pitching for the Red Sox.
