Former Red Sox starting pitcher
John Lackey—after playing for the MLB minimum last year—has once again 'cashed in' thanks to
Theo Epstein and the Cubbies. Lackey signed
a two-year, $34 million deal with Chicago. Lackey had a fine year in 2015 with the Cardinals, and, of course, was a huge part of Boston's 2013 World Series Championship. This, after a horrendous first two years with the Red Sox—after he was given a big contract by
John Henry and company.
